Why We Chose to Care More

Thoughts on intention, objects, and building something worth keeping.

Why We Chose to Care More

Care More started with a simple idea: care should be intentional.

Not only the care we give to other people, but the care we give ourselves, our spaces, the things we own, and the world around us.

In a culture that constantly asks us to move faster, buy more, and immediately move on to whatever comes next, Care More is our reminder to do something different.

Slow down. Pay attention. Care more.

That philosophy influences everything we create.

Our candles were designed around the idea that the vessel shouldn't become waste when the flame goes out. The concrete vessel is meant to remain part of your space, while the wax insert can be replaced and the ritual can begin again.

Our approach to packaging follows the same thinking. We look for ways to reduce unnecessary materials, eliminate plastics where possible, and work with packaging that considers what happens after an order reaches your door.

As Care More expands into apparel and other objects, that same question will continue guiding us:

Can we create something people will actually want to keep?

But Care More has never only been about products.

A candle can change the feeling of a room.
A shirt can carry a message.
A quiet moment can change the direction of your day.

Sometimes caring more means doing something for someone else. Sometimes it means giving yourself permission to stop.

We want this journal to become a place where those ideas can live.

Long before Care More existed, one phrase stayed with me from my years at Philippa Schuyler I.S. 383 in Brooklyn: “To whom much is given, much is required.” It was our school motto, and its meaning has followed me far beyond those classrooms. Care More carries a similar belief. What we have, what we create, and what we're able to give comes with a responsibility to consider ourselves, each other, and the world around us.

We'll share more of the process behind what we make, the materials we choose, the spaces and people that inspire us, sustainability, design, rituals, and the lessons we're learning while building Care More.

Some entries may be about a new scent.

Others may have nothing to do with something you can buy.

Because ultimately, Care More isn't an instruction to consume more.

It's an invitation to be more intentional with what is already around you.

With yourself.
With others.
With your space.
With your time.

Welcome to Care More.

A REMINDER FROM US...
Care doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes you just have to notice.

What does “caring more” look like in your life right now? It can be something small. We’d love to hear it. 🤍
